Okinawan Zoo May 16th

A couple of weeks ago, I took the kiddos and my friend, Candace's, kiddos to the zoo so that Candace and her hubby could go scuba diving to the Karamas.  We had such a fun time.  A lot of people were asking me if Tatum and Miya were twins and if all of them were mine and saying ka-wah-ee (cute in Japanese).  The kids had a great time feeding the fish and seeing all the fun animals.  Their favorite part was the Children's Museum.  They loved dressing up and trying out all the experiments.  We are really going to miss the Adairs since they are moving this month.

Celebrating "Month of the Military Child"

We were able to enjoy a fun Saturday at Torii Beach where they were celebrating "Month of the Military Child".  It was a lot of fun and "Free".  That's always nice.  Tayson had a great time playing in the water and going down the slide.  They also had a lot of bouncy castles and activities for the kids.  Sadly, Tayson left a little upset because the treasure hunt was only for kids 6 and up.  Tatum enjoyed listening to a local band play a lot of fun oldies.  They were very entertaining and did an excellent job.  It was surprising to find out that they didn't speak english since they sang the songs so great.

Tayson's Field Day

Tayson had a really fun Field Day at school.  They had all sorts of relay races and fun activities for the kids.  Tayson was so happy that Jay and Tatum were able to come and cheer him on.
Here is Tayson telling his buddy, Tanner, that his team won the tug-of-war twice.  (not the peace sign which is very common in pictures among the Japanese)
Here is Tatum cheering on her brother.

Got to strut my stuff

Walk along Araha Beach

We had a nice evening walking along Araha Beach.  The weather was beautiful and Tayson had fun riding his scooter.

(I swear I'm in my green shirt every time we take pictures.  I really don't wear it ever day even though it seems like it)

Tatum's 1 year old pics by Abby Izor

Our little angel had her pictures done for her first birthday and they turned out just darling.  Abby Izor did such a great job and I love every one, so I pretty much posted every one.  I feel bad that I haven't had anything about Tayson lately, so definitely be looking forward to that.  Plus his birthday is coming up soon, so we'll have a lot of pics then.  I hope you enjoy our cute little Tatum and her great personality.

Camping with Friends

A couple of Weekends ago, we were invited by our friends, The Cox Family, to go camping.  He, Brother Cox, was being deployed for 6 months and wanted to get together with his friends one last time before he headed out.  We had such a great time camping at White Beach with several families from our Branch.  The Holbrooks, The Downings, The Schooleys, The Wahlquists and of course the Cox Family.  We barbecued and played games until 2 AM then had a great breakfast the next morning.  I really enjoyed spending time with everyone and being able to be with wonderful people.  We had a great time talking and getting to know everyone more.
We stayed in the cutest little cabins and I wished I had taken more pictures but we are pretty bad about remembering to get our camera out, so these 2 are the only ones we got.  These 2 girls love our little Tatum and are always trying to find her when we go to church.  Too bad Tatum is going through a little separation anxiety though, so she wasn't playing for too long.

Tatum Eating

Tatum is a crazy little eater and really enjoys putting food in her hair.  One time, she had eaten some peaches and had peach juice all over her hair.  I wiped as much as I could out of it since we were heading out the door and didn't have time to give her a bath.  Her hair looked all crazy and kind of had a flip up hair do going on and someone asked what kind of hair gel I used to make it look so cute.  Well, I said peach juice works best and then rub a wet wash cloth all over and let it do it's own thing.

Here is Tatum learning to feed herself with a spoon.  I think she did a pretty good job.  Now she loves trying to feed herself with a fork and spoon.  She gets frustrated once in a while so sometimes Mom scoops and hands her the utensil to feed herself.  It works pretty good.  She just hands me her spoon or fork when she is ready for some more.
