I love the look on Tayson's face. It is priceless! We had kind of a crazy Christmas this year. About a week before Christmas, Jay found out he had to leave in 2 days and would be missing Christmas. We did an impromptu Christmas with Tayson. We all opened the gifts to each other and tried to make the best of the situation. It didn't feel quite right though because we hadn't had our Christmas Eve like we usually do. Christmas day came and Santa was able to make it, but it was too bad Dad couldn't be there with us. Sharing the time together is the best part of Christmas. We were blessed though to have great friends from church include us in their families for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which helped a lot. On Christmas, Jay went to dinner with some of the guys he was working with. Times like these make being in the military very difficult but I guess we all have to make some sort of sacrifices.

Kara I am so sorry Jay had to leave right before Christmas that stinks! At least you got to spend time together before and had friends to help fill the void a bit. We really miss you guys! Tayson is too cute in that picture!
Man that stinks! Jerry missed Christmas last year because he was deployed, but at least we had a little warning! Have you heard we're headed for Alaska next? Fairbanks. Well... baby's screamimng at me, gotta go... miss you!
